- Could not make flight; airline refused to reschedule Orbitz ticket and charged $700 cancel fee, with change/no-show/fare difference and delays.
I wish I could rate -5, since I never had such a bad experience. I couldn't make the flight on time due to my previous flight being cancelled.
Asiana Airlines didn't show any compassion and refused to reschedule the flight since I booked the ticket through Orbitz online. They said they could cancel my flight but would charge a $700 fee for cancellation. I contacted an Orbitz agent; they negotiated with the airline and told me they were hard to negotiate with. The agent of the airline only said there was a $350 change fee, a $160 no-show fee, and a fare difference.
They asked me to pay the $160 no-show fee before they could even tell me what the new itinerary or costs were. It took a long time for them to respond. It sounded like it would take several days to get sorted and result in a very high bill, so I gave up.
I ended up wasting the round trip ticket and several hours! Never use this airline again.

Auto disconnect every time I call customer service
No customer support at all , called multiple times and every time auto disconnected. You will never get a live person to answer .
Poor Service and Lousy Seats
- Long-time Asiana Gold member; service declined.
- Seats feel like prison mattresses.
- Crew bias toward Koreans; others cold.
I have been Asiana Gold member and travelled between Singapore and Seoul for over 20 years. Their services have dropped drastically; seats are like Prison mattress.
Services by crew member are only for Koreans and others are treated coldly. The empty seats the Koreans can anyhow swap.
Avoid this airline. I wish them close down ASAP.

I got a very clear answer on the issue. The ASAp ticket agent told ne that my booking was cancelled so I called asap customer service and they told ne flight is not cancelled and told me call Asiana.
Every is ok after talking to your customer service giving me the assurance that my flight is confirmed.

I tried calling them after my flight to have my mileage points credited to my Asiana Club account. Their website doesn't list a phone number, so I had to find it through Google.
After jumping through all the hoops just to call, my calls were disconnected multiple times for no reason, forcing me to call back again and again. Then came the endless wait time with no callback feature like many companies now offer. Finally, I was able to get through. I waited an hour just to reach a real person.
She then told me she needed to transfer me, which meant another 40 minutes on hold. Almost two hours later, the new representative was impatient, talked over me, and sounded accusatory, as if I was doing the wrong things over my misfortune. Ultimately, she told me that my issue could only be resolved by email. The company has no U.S.
representatives. So you have to suffer Korean culture's 'rudeness.' Honestly, who would want to fly with them again?

I arrived in Las Vegas as per my itinerary; however, my baggage was delivered after 3 days of my arrival. During this period, Las Vegas was experiencing extremely cold weather conditions.
Since my winter clothing was in the delayed baggage, I had no option but to purchase essential woollen clothes to manage the weather and continue my stay.
This unexpected delay caused significant discomfort and additional expenses, which were unavoidable. I have retained the receipts for the woollen clothing purchased and can provide them upon request.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I canceled my prev ticket, got refunded, booked a new one
I don't have a bad booking experience with Asiana, and their real life service might be very good (it'll be the first time I'm flying with them), yet it almost turns out to be a mission impossible to reschedule my flight, bcs I simply can't reach their customer service (long wait, no person answering). I've sent them a complaint through their website to which I've received an email that they've received it some hours later. Two business days passed, and no result yet, so my hopes are low at this point.

Be mad at yourself. I always book direct with the airlines.
Hypothetically if I traveled your same itinerary, I would be able to walk up to the Asiana counter while waiting for flight #1 and handle the connecting flight rescheduling in person. You were left to struggle making phone calls and charged fees because you forfeited that perk by allowing Orbitz to handle your booking.
You went cheap and forfeited in-person service with the airline. Orbitz handles your booking, rescheduling or cancellation. The airline's only service and responsibility to you is providing the EXACT seat YOU allowed Orbitz to book.
